wiring MIP - look behind the Scenes

is a tedious job at the home cockpit for me again and again the wiring of the various switches, controls, Rotary, knobs, buttons and the like dar.

Here the example in the center part of the MIP : Knobs and switches are both set to the thrust and braking, as well as the flap position of the B737-800. Viewed from the front easily ... Only a couple of rotary switches and LED's.

A look behind the scenes shows the connections with the appropriate cabling throughout the complex. As a thin cable from the 2-strand to finger-thick 12-core network cable. The soldering is for me one challenge. The work usually have to take place in confined spaces. Alternatively, the appropriate units must first be installed from and after the wiring again.

The terminals are led to the IO / Card and from there involved with FSUIPC in the Control Panel. Estimated that I have to date built about 200 meters of cable of all types in my Flight Deck!

lot of work behind the scenes, which is hardly noticed ...
